Role: Digital Content Specialist
Hours: TBC. Part time or contract.
Start Date: ~July 2024

Job Description:

Help us up the ante on our digital content marketing! This diverse tech/creative role will contribute to a broad variety of digital marketing initiatives that help our high-growth e-commerce business thrive. The Digital Content Specialist should be an extreme digital generalist - as they will be exposed to our full-stack of marketing channels and projects, with lots of opportunity to contribute create content for all of our communication channels; website, social, and PPC.  

 

Deliverables:

Content creation and dissemination to increase and engage organic visitors and acquire new customers through organic and paid social.

Tasks may include:

  • Organic social media
    • Strategy, scheduling, content creation (photo, video, editing, layout) and content curation from partners, editing, sharing.
  • User Flow - Lead Gen & Landing Pages
    • Support new lead capture via social & lead gen efforts. 
    • Improve our customer acquisition funnel with strategic landing pages.
  • Email marketing
    • Write, design, build, test & deploy campaigns, promos and flows
  • Blog content creation
    • With focus on SEO improvement and education.
  • Community Engagement
    • Outreach, Facebook VIP group, forums, chats. 
  • Influencer/ambassador
    • outreach and coordination
  • Graphic Design
    • for all of the above, and/or ads, flat sheets, hang tags, event material
  • Trends and metrics
    • finding and testing emerging digital marketing / content trends, reporting on website performance and customer insights

Skills & Experience:

  • Social
    • Experience and aptitude for social content creation, be it photo, video or written.
    • Proven experience as a social media coordinator, on multiple platforms and automation tools. 
  • Marketing
    • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
    • Experience in developing and executing digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, email marketing, and website management.
  • Photo / Video - Creative capture and proficient editing. 
  • Copy - Strong creative writing skills for engaging blogs and social content. 
  • SEO - Knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Web - Proficient on Shopify and building landing pages
  • Graphic Design - Ability to translate and integrate our brand guidelines consistently across all visual designs including ads, flat sheets, hang tags, event materials, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable brand identity.
  • Best Practices - Knowledge of digital marketing best practices, including SEO, SEM, and content marketing.
  • Data - Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Platforms - Shopify, Adobe Creative Suite, Klaviyo, Meta, Google, Notion
  • Work style - Fast and eager learner. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Education - Post secondary education in marketing, communications, or a related field.
