Central American Roadtrip update

Posted by Joseph Schwartz on

RUX Storytellers Josh and Vanessa have been on the road trip of a lifetime. They just passed along a recent update from the road:

"We crossed into Belize and spent 4 weeks there travelling with fellow Canadians doing the same trip as us. While in Belize we drove some 4x4 trails to find beautiful waterfalls and swimming holes, we visited Caye Caulker to go snorkelling with sharks and turtles, and we visited a cave filled with history of the Mayans.

After Belize we crossed into Guatemala and our first stops were at the Mayan ruins of Tikal and the natural pools of Semuc Champey. Over the past 3 weeks we have explored much of the country - visiting amazing natural places, hiking a volcano to see lava spitting out of a neighbouring volcano, exploring the markets of Antigua and surfing at the black sand beaches of El Paredón. Now we are preparing to head to El Salvador where we will be spending the next few weeks surfing and exploring the country!"
