If RUX Had Wheels and a Motor: RUX partners with KIA on concept WKNDR Van Build

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas… except the RUX x KIA collab.

The future concept KIA WKNDR van stormed into SEMA this week, and RUX was right there, bringing modular gear storage game to the party.

This van isn’t your average camper setup – KIA’s off-road-ready EV is like a RUX on wheels. It’s a super modular, efficient, futuristic camper like nothing before.

RUX was the only co-branded collaboration and dedicated stakeholder engagement product involved in the launch.

It was a perfect fit, as RUX compliments the futuristic camper's focus on sustainability, modularity and space saving with rail-mounted fixtures and furniture.

The whole vehicle is lined with T track so you can secure vehicle accessories, furniture or you guessed it… RUX 70Ls, all around the interior or even exterior of the vehicle. Some of the tracks are powered so you can add light fixtures, chargers, and other camp comforts. You can store your gear in RUX 70Ls on garage slatwall, then slide it right into your camper. One ‘n done.

The seats turn into walls, or tables, or lounge chairs. The steering wheel props up into a wall sconce light. The side doors extend for extra space. There’s frame column between the front and rear of the vehicle so you have tonnes of open access to the outdoors. The roof top tent yields standing room headspace when the floor is tucked in. The wind-turbine wheels and solar panel roof feed a power station at the rear of your vehicle.

Their concept aligns with RUX insanely well - focusing on efficiency, versatility and sustainability. It’s compact and maneuverable but expands at camp. It’s modular so you can adapt to whatever you need, wherever you are. And thing charges itself while standing still, and powers your campsite!

We’re impressed with the KIA future’s team’s vision and we really hope the company will see it through to reality.
