California Residents: Prior to December 2023 the trim material used on the Tri-Fold lid and RUX Pocket liner had a short chain c6 DWR coating, made with PFAS chemicals. Once RUX learn learned this coating was being used it was switched for all future production and all RUX products are free from intentionally added PFAS.

RUX 70 has 70L of volume, with a box-like shape that optimizes that space for efficient packing. When upright it's 40cm wide x 50cm long 35cm deep. (15.7 x 19.5 x 13.8 inches). RUX 70 is large enough to go big with day-trip gear great for loading up your vehicle for bigger excursions and still small enough to be maneuverable so you can take advantage of RUX's carrying and storing benefits. When you don't need it, save space. RUX packs flat to only 8cm (3.1 inches) deep.

The RUX 70L is highly weatherproof, built for all-weather adventure- moving gear in a truck bed, on racks, on a camping trip, boating and more. The bag is a waterproof tub made by  RF welding TPU coated high tenacity 840D nylon and a molded EVA bottom. The bottom and lid are both laminated with PU for added durability. The lid is also molded EVA foam and has an overhanging perimeter to help keep it on and weather out. RUX is not submersible or watertight.

RUX is great for stacking when filled, or partially filled and compressed. The bistable steel corner stays are intended for easily popping the bag open and keeping it there for easy access and packing. However, these corner stays are NOT structural corners. So you would want to stack the heaviest, most packed RUX at the bottom and place the empty or so half-filled RUX on top. You are relying on your contents within your RUX for proper stacking.

The corner stays are a wear part much like the tires on your car or bike and will eventually need to be replaced. We sell replacements here.

AND/OR: One or more of your stays may be damaged from overuse or improper installation. To check, remove stay from sleeve. If the stay has a crease in it, the spring steel under the rubber coating is damaged. We sell replacements here.

AND/OR: Do you require more structural support in the stays (ie you’re stacking multiple 70Ls with heavy loads?). A nifty trick we do is doubling up stays in each corner, adding extra rigidity to the 70L. We sell extra stays here.

    I'm using my RUX for diving expeditions. So far I have traveled twice from Canada to Mexico with no airport issues. In the field, they serve as excellent gear haulers and also waterproof containers for my wet gear. It is nice having the insert accessory bags to keep items like my tools dry within the same package. I also will be using it as a camera rinse bucket for my underwater camera gear. All good so far.

    Thanks for the opportunity to review this new product. Recently did a road trip to Skaha & Kelowna with 2 RUX, replacing a big Rubbermaid bin and three milk crates. My gear was loose and plans were tight, baby, tight!

    So this is somewhat a frivolous container for people however I find it super for organizing and I have a difficult time carrying a loaded duffle with my arms as I've had carpet tunnel surgery but I can load this rux up, secure the straps and haul it on my back easily. I'm 47 female and chunky and it's awesome for me to haul gear to rv or 4runner for family trips. The totes are great for keeping wet stuff organized away or for dry clothes in a mess of other items. I really like it and would see how one just for kitchen stuff for trips would be great. Esp bc they stow flat once emptied.
